v009 - Colors, SFX, HUD, and more
Here is a new version with some recent changes I made to the game.
Still 5 levels to play. At the end of level 5, you won't be able to go to the next level. It means you reached the end. I will add more levels soon.
Color Mode enabled
Game now supports the Color Mode called "Color + Monochrome". This means the game can be played on the original GameBoy in monochrome colors and on other GameBoy devices that allow more colors usage (like GameBoy Color, Super GameBoy, Analogue Pocket, etc).
SFXs
New SFX added:
- Jump
- Dash
- Hurt/Die
- Destroy volcano block
HUD
I did a lot of invisible stuff, but yet very important, like storing player death and the level number the player is currently playing using variables.
I started to think about how to show such data, and started with showing on the bottom left of the screen the level number you're currently playing. More HUD info will come later.
